Lexi DeRoia has been a part of the faculty here at Element Dance Company for ten years. She graduated from John Carroll University in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education. She is a teacher of several classes at EDC. Her goal as a staff member here at EDC is to give her all to her students and coworkers. Dance has influenced her life for nineteen years. She has been trained in the areas of Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Acro, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. When she was only six years old, she decided to join the competition team at a local dance studio and that is when she knew dancing was more of a passion for her rather than a hobby. She continued her training by attending dance intensives and classes throughout the country, and brings what she learns to the students at EDC. As a teacher, she aims to make each student the best dancer he/she can possibly be by building both their skills and confidence. She makes her classes lively, and hopes her students learn to appreciate and love dance as much as she does. The studio, and all the people that are a part of it, are what makes her the happiest.
